Whether you are looking for help for yourself, your children or your marriage, choosing the right therapist for your situation is important. Part of what I love about my work is empowering individuals and couples to make the adaptive changes they desire for a better and more fulfilling life. I believe in giving my clients tools that they can use immediately after our sessions. Often clients tell me how quickly they start to see a difference in their lives.
I received my master’s degree from the California School of Professional Psychology, and have post masters coursework in Play and Art Therapy from the University of California, San Diego. My undergraduate degree is in Communications from Syracuse University, and I attended UCI to receive a teaching credential in Early Childhood Education. I am certified to facilitate groups for Smart Recovery, helping individuals gain independence from addictions with scientific based tools to effectively mange thoughts, feelings and behaviors.
My experience as a clinician and art therapist includes working with individuals diagnosed with co-occurring disorders, mental health disorders, and eating disorders. Whether you are in crisis or have been going through chronic struggles, I believe therapy can help. If you are ready for real change, call me today for a free consultation.
Beyond my education and work experience, I bring my life experience to every client I meet. I have been happily married for over 30 years and am a proud mother of an adult son and daughter. In my own life I have been touched by addiction, illness and other struggles. I know what it is like to overcome challenges in your life. I have sat on the board of the American Cancer Society, Saddleback Valley Division and was named Volunteer of the Year in both 1999 and 2000.
